CSS Coding

This is my coding for my CSS.

HTML Coding

This is my code for my index.

Final Website

This is my final website.  Jessica Hische is known for her typography. She uses a lot of script-type fonts with lots of embellishments but also for her calligraphy-type fonts.  The background is one of her designs. The whole sidebar is composed of her artwork. The main bar I have included a short bio of her life, some examples of her clients and some of her achievements, and a couple of her side projects. I included links with each piece of artwork that takes you to where the piece is located on her personal website. Under the side projects section, I included small blurbs on what the side project is about, a picture of the work, and a link that takes you to the actual website. I also included a video under the "Don't Fear The Internet" section to give a little example of what the videos look like.

Website

This is what I had done at the beginning of class. I changed the background from last time because this pattern was a pattern that she actually created and I wanted to incorporate it into the site.

Sketches

These are the two sketches that I was thinking about for my website.  I'm leaning more towards the bottom picture because I would rather the sidebar be on the left side instead of the right.

Jessica Hische Research

Jessica Hische grew up in Pennsylvania and pursued a career in graphic design thanks to the encouragement of a high school teacher. In her graphic design classes, she would go above and beyond on the projects and do more than what was asked. Her passion was illustration and image-making. She graduated college in 2006, and got a job as a freelance designer for a little shop in Philadelphia, where she helped make fancy books. She left and went to work for someone else, but the work became too much so she left there too. She decided to venture out on her own, which turned out to be the right thing to do. She now lives in San Francisco and has the nickname "That Drop Cap Girl." She is a letterer and an illustrator and is known for her side projects.
