Unreasonable Theories Seed Packet

This is the design for my last seed packet.  It is going off the unreasonable theory that there is a zombie apocalypse coming.  This is the one that I am going to construct.

Hash Tag Seed Packet

This is the design for my second seed packet.  This one is based on the unnecessary hash tags that are all over Twitter and Facebook.  I went with a plant that had a numerous amount of buds so that I could have an absurd amount of hash tags growing from it.  I went with the colors black and blue because black is easiest to see (of course) and blue to represent the blue in Twitter and Facebook.

Revised Seed Packet

This is my revised 50 Shades of Grey seed packet.  In the critique I was told that my last one was a little too detailed, so I got rid of some of the small details in the mask and the feathers and also in the handcuffs.  Someone pointed out that they didn't know that the tie was a tie in my last one so I changed the tie completely to look more like a tie.

I decided to throw out my last idea because not enough people made the connection to the 50 Shades of Grey book series.  So instead, I got completely rid of the plant and just stuck with the objects on each book.  I also put each book name on the packet so that my point becomes obvious and everyone will make the connection.

Seed Project POV

My theme for my seed project is "Bad Trends of Today."  The name of my seeding company is going to be "The Horrible Trend Seeding Company."  The theme for my first seed packet is going to be 50 Shades of Grey.  I was thinking of having "Grow Your Own Tacky Books" on the front of the packet. My second packet is going to be the overuse of hash tags on Twitter and Facebook.  On the packet it will say "Grow Your Own Unnecessary Hash Tags."  My third seed packet is going to be a zombie apocalypse and how people think one is occurring right now.  It will say "Grow Your Own Unreasonable Theories."  On the back of each seed packet there will be a short paragraph making fun of each of the trends and directions on how to "plant" the seeds.

CMYK is used primarily for print and RGB is used for web.  All vector artwork that is made in Illustrator are made of paths, which are the line segments that make up the overall structure of your artwork.  Anchor points are the control points for your paths.  When working with curves, you have to work with control handles, which tell the path how to curve up or down.  Closed paths are when the paths move from anchor to anchor with no open ends (rectangle, star, ellipse, etc).  An open point is when the anchors are not completely connected.  You can make "on the fly" changes to open and closed paths by using the arrow keys while creating the path.  Joining takes two paths/anchor points and makes them into one.  Average snaps two anchor points together that have distance between them. The scissors  and the knife tool cuts a path/shape into separate path/shapes.  However, the scissor tool is more precise and will always cut straight lines, whereas the knife tool can act as a "liquid knife" and cut curved lines.
